In fruit and vegetable processing and packing, Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative can be applied immediately after harvest for protection from human pathogens during picking, handling and transport.

 

Packaging plants and transport vehicles can be cleaned and sanitised using Multi-Purpose Cleaner and Disinfectant to eliminate the risk of inter-batch contamination.


Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative is non-toxic, non hazardous and non-corrosive. It leaves no hazardous breakdown products allowing the safe disposal of all wash liquids directly to town drains.


Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative combines with human pathogens present on the food and breaks them down into harmless components including Carbon dioxide and water. Within a few hours of application, the natural components that remain would have either combined with the organic acids and sugars present in the food, or would have broken down further into harmless components, leaving no detectable residues or toxicity.


Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative meets the FSANZ Code and this allows it to be applied as a sanitizer directly to food surfaces, to control human pathogens, provided this is undertaken along with good manufacturing practices. Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative reduces the bacterial loading and keeps it at low levels, to the point of eliminating them, thereby reducing the risk of food poisoning.


Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative does not irritate skin, eyes or mucous membranes and is non-corrosive and non-volatile.

  • Dip Tanks: Prepare a bath of Organic Food Wash at a concentration of 2%. Pass the product through the tank achieving a contact time of at least 5 minutes.

  • Re-circulating Spray Systems: Spray a 4% solution.

  • Retail Applications: Throughout the day, spray products in the display counters with a 2% solution.

  • Green Leafy Vegetables: Use a 0.5% solution.

  • For processing diamond cut tender coconuts: Use a 7% solution.

The control of bacterial contamination in poultry rearing, egg and carcass processing and packaging is an important health and economic consideration in the poultry industry.


Currently the antibacterial / antimicrobial market is dominated by products containing high levels of chlorine, bromine, hydroxide or ammonia. These chemicals are toxic and pose both application and disposal issues for operators and the environment.


Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative is an organic food wash that can deliver the requirements of cleaning and sanitizing in a non- toxic, non-corrosive and biodegradable system.


Organic products can be used in a number of areas in the poultry industry.


Organic Multi-Purpose Cleaner can be used for general surface cleaning and sanitation. It is a powerful alkaline biocidal foaming cleaner and will remove heavy soiling. Organic Disinfectant is an organic solution that can be used for surface sanitation on all processing surfaces and equipment with no requirement for rinsing. The product is completely non-toxic to humans and animals and can be used for cage and pen cleaning. Disinfectant is effective at dilutions of 2-4% depending on the levels of bacterial load. Two hundred (200) litres of Organic Disinfectant concentrate will produce 10,000 litres of 2% sanitising solution.

 

Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative can be used at 2% for carcass washing to reduce levels of common pathogens associated with food poisoning.

These chemicals are toxic and pose both application and disposal issues for operators and the environment. Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative is an organic food wash that can deliver the requirements of cleaning and sanitizing in a non toxic, non corrosive and biodegradable system.

 

Organic products can be used in a number of areas in the seafood industry.

 

Surfaces:

Decks, Holding Tanks, Storage Containers, Transportation Vehicles and Cold Rooms - after removal of gross debris, clean and sanitize using Organic Multi-Purpose Cleaner (adjust dilution to 2-10% depending on level of soiling). Leave for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing off with water. Spray with Organic Disinfectant (2%) and leave to dry. No rinsing is required for Organic Disinfectant.

 

Ice-Making:

Water used to make ice can have Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative added (1 - 2%) prior to freezing. Spread an adequate quantity of flake ice over each layer of fish as it is stored in the fishing vessels to hold. The slow melting of ice will distribute Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative over the fish thereby giving a continuous dosing.

 

Glazing:

Glazing water should have Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative added (with a concentration of 1 - 2%) to enable bacterial control to occur during defrosting.

 

Prawns:

Dip prawns for a minimum of 5 minutes in Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative (0.5%). Dipping prawns in this solution prevents "Black Spot." Using a solution of 0.5% will allow the processor to dip approximately 500 Kg of prawns. Care must be taken after this point to keep the product temperature and condition stable by freezing or chilling. If "Black Spot" has already occurred, Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative will not act as a bleaching compound.

 

Knives, Steels and Scabbards:

Scrub in a solution of Organic Disinfectant (with a concentration of 2%) and leave it immersed in the solution overnight. Organic Disinfectant is non corrosive.

 

Splitting Saws, Automatic Filleters and Cutting Blocks:

Foam the equipment clean with Organic Multi-Purpose Cleaner (2-10%), leave it  for 20 - 30 minutes and then rinse off. Spray with Organic Disinfectant (2%) and leave it to air dry. No rinsing is required. Submerge cutting / filleting boards overnight in a 2% solution of Organic Food Wash and Natural Preservative following foam cleaning and rinsing.

 

Hand Washing:

Before handling food, wash and dry hands, then apply Organic Hand Sanitizer and let it dry.

 

Locker Rooms, Toilets and Showers:

Spray or fog daily with Organic Disinfectant (0.5%). This will help minimise the risk of cross contamination. No rinsing required.

 

Aprons, Gloves and Boots:

The above garments should be treated at intervals throughout the day with Organic Disinfectant (0.5%). There are no residues after the application of Organic Disinfectant. During the initial anti-microbial contact period, Organic Disinfectant combines with the pathogens present on the food and breaks them down into harmless components including Carbon dioxide and water. Within a few hours of application the natural components that remain would have either combined with the organic acids and sugars present in the food, or broken down further into harmless components, leaving no detectable residues or toxicity.
